Many of you know that after Beck, we miscarried our second. That angel baby will forever be in my heart. I couldn’t write Tanner’s birth story without mentioning the struggle of conceiving a second time. After the miscarriage, we once again went through tough times (it took quite sometime with Beck as well) but this […]

These Littleton family maternity photos have been a favorite since the day I photographed Candace and Jon. We were able to fit our session in between the rain storms, with pockets of sun that peaked out. I loved the overcast skies with sunshine rays slipping through, making for perfectly romantic imagery. With the storms, came […]

Mina asked me to photograph a mama and me session with her and her three children. While planning, we decided to keep it in-studio and really simple/chic. Photographing three kids under three years old is a little tricky and comes with it’s own set of challenges. From the beginning, I let her know we’d work […]

I love being a Denver Boudoir Photographer because I often get clients that come to me completely trusting my vision and inspiration. For V’s boudoir, I was inspired by her heritage, a Spanish Mantilla which her mother purchased for her when she was born (used at her wedding) and an amazing blush satin gown V […]

why a "film" look?
I have always loved the film medium - the softness, the colors and the film grain. It's a classic, timeless look that will never go out of style. There's a certain richness in the blacks that I admire while the skin-tones tend to have a soft, creamy look. You can expect your images to have these qualities as well.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
If the weather looks like it'll be less than ideal conditions, we can either run with it, re-schedule or, if we were planning to photograph outdoors, see if we can photograph in-doors or in-studio.
what session is best for us?
I offer three different collections based on timing, 30, 60 or 120 minutes. While 30 minutes is perfect for a family wanting to do a quick update, 60 minutes is ideal for families with more than one child. Newborn sessions require 60-120 minutes so that we have time for baby details, family portraits and one-on-one's with each sibling and parent. For boudoir portraits, I recommend 60 or 120 minutes however, we can also create beautiful portraits with one outfit in 30 minutes.
how do we plan our session?
The planning stages of our session starts with picking a location. It's the most important decision in creating the overall look to your images. In-studio, indoors at your home or a hotel room (as long as there is ample natural window light) and outdoor locations all have unique qualities. I prefer to pick spots with neutral backgrounds that help keep the focus on my subjects.
Once we've decided on location, we then talk about outfits, props and hair and makeup.
